In conjunction with the exhibition ‘Camera Atomica’, join us for this 16mm screening of a delirious Cold War classic. While owner George Keenan Wynn, cook Slob Lee Marvin, and waitress Kotty Terry Moore go about their highly eccentric workday, their roadside diner becomes a haven for international Cold War espionage. One of the diner’s regular customers is professor Sam Bastion, who works at a local laboratory as a nuclear physicist. Or does he?

Shack Out on 101, 1955, story and screenplay by Edward and Mildred Dein; directed by Edward Dein.

Presented in collaboration with Toronto’s kitschy purveyors of 16mm film and culture, Trash Palace.
