"The Painted Rocks at Revolver Creek"

Aging farm laborer and self-taught artist Nukain Mabuza has spent much of his life transforming the rocks at Revolver Creek into a vibrant garden of painted flowers. Now, with only one unpainted boulder remaining and his young pal Bokkie by his side, Mabuza confronts his legacy — and his mortality — in this “tender, ruminative new play” (The New York Times) from legendary South African playwright Athol Fugard (“Master Harold” … and the Boys, Blood Knot). Inspired by a true story, The Painted Rocks at Revolver Creek received wide acclaim during its off-Broadway run earlier this year, and now makes its West Coast premiere at L.A.’s Fountain Theatre.
