Arturo Sandoval Master Class

Sit in on a music lesson with a living legend of jazz as Arturo Sandoval comes to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills. Dizzy Gillespie mentored him. Andy Garcia played him in an HBO movie about his life. He’s recorded with everyone from Frank Sinatra to Alicia Keys, and played the Super Bowl with Tony Bennett and Patti LaBelle. A 10-time Grammy winner, the Cuban-born trumpeter is considered one of the most versatile musicians of our time for his jazz, Latin jazz and classical compositions. He’s also a classical pianist and composer, and can count performing with the world’s premier symphony orchestras among his many achievements. Now, Sandoval will present a master class in which he’ll help young musicians refine their craft and express their soul through their playing. While the students have already been chosen, you can still watch the master at work and gain some insight into Sandoval’s approach to music.
