Whole Life Balance is making waves in Santa Monica, CA. The popular health center recently opened in June 2015. It has had an online presence for over two years and is now catering to an educated group of health conscious individuals. Whole Life Balance offers a wide range of services such as advanced nutritional consulting, acupuncture, massage therapy, personal training, pilates, along with aerial yoga. Another sought after service is the vitamin IV drip, which allows for 100% of vitamin absorption and the most effective way to receive you needed nutrients and minerals.

Owner of WLB, Shane Griffin said he thinks its important to give back. His company Whole Life Balance is a flagship sponsor for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk of Santa Monica happening ‪this Saturday, October 24 on the Santa Monica Pier. Starting ‪at 10:00 am, the event will offer a noncompetitive, three- to five-mile walks. Everyone is encouraged to attend to support all that have been touched by breast cancer.

The Making Strides event is a important opportunity to unite the community and to honor and celebrate breast cancer survivors. The American Cancer Society hopes to raise awareness about the disease, and to raise the much-needed funds to help find a cure for breast cancer.

Griffin will not be attending the cancer walk due to prior obligations in his hometown of Toronto, Canada. He is scheduled to once again participate (as a production manager) in the cystic fibrosis foundation event in Toronto. Griffin, and his mother, along with the sponsorship of his brother’s company Team Group of Companies, have participated in this event for the past ten years. Like many others, Griffin has been directly impacted by the disease. Griffin is drawn to lesser-known organizations. “I know first hand the difficulty raising money when you are a small or less known disease, we call them orphan charities.”

Griffin first got involved in the annual cystic fibrosis foundation event via his mother. Her close friend’s granddaughter Lauren was born with the disease, so she immediately wanted to help with any and all fundraising. Griffin attended the cystic fibrosis foundation event with his mother and mentioned that he thought the event could be much more elaborate, which would draw more people to it. His mother replied, “Do you think you can do better? Get involved!” Griffin did, and now ten years later the event is flourishing, bringing in larger donations and featuring LED screens, with a lighting and sound team and multiple performers. One year, the Lieutenant Governor the Honorable David Onley attended. Surprise celebrity guests are expected this year as well.  For more info, visit the website. http://www.cfchapters.ca/toronto-district/events/fusion-gala-a-musical-extravaganza/
