Pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet

Famed French pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet, known for his emotional artistry and technical virtuosity — not to mention his elegant personal performance style — currently serves as the artist-in-residence for L.A.’s prestigious Colburn Conservatory of Music. He’ll bring several of the school’s top students with him for a concert of works by Debussy, Poulenc and Schumann at The Wallis in Beverly Hills. Thibaudet, who’s recorded more than 40 albums with Decca Records, teams with fellow pianist Ray Ushikubo for Debussy’s Nocturnes and Youjin Lee for the composer’s violin and piano sonata. He’ll also perform a Poulenc piece with oboist Regina Brady and bassoonist Thomas Morrison, along with other works. Check out these rising classical stars, as they share the stage with one of the world’s most acclaimed musicians.
