Hear Ben Rawlence, author of City of Thorns, about the world’s largest refugee camp, in conversation with Brian Stewart, Distinguished Senior Fellow, Munk School of Global Affairs.

Over the course of four years, Ben Rawlence made numerous trips to Kenya’s Dadaab refugee camp to report for Human Rights Watch and several British newspapers. In his new book City of Thorns, he interweaves the stories of nine individuals to show what life is like in the camp and to sketch the wider political forces that keep refugees there.
