The Musicians In Ordinary ease you into the New Year with first compositions by Baroque composers, Friday, January 1 at 2 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 2 at 8 p.m. Soprano Hallie Fishel and lutenist John Edwards perform music by Handel, Vivaldi and others, joined by violinists Christopher Verrette and Patricia Ahern, and Borys Medicky, keyboards. It is also the first of four MIO concerts at the Heliconian Hall, the other three combining words and music for the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death. Single tickets are available at the door. Subscriptions to all four concerts offer savings.
