The Tool Library and our partners at DECA and Woodgreen are proud to announce the Toronto’s first ever ‘Alternative Gift Shop’ running from December 17th-20th at 1803 Danforth Ave. Here’s how it works:
Bring 3-10 items that are new or lightly used (they must be ‘giftable’) and exchange them for the same number of goods from others in the community. All kinds of items are acceptable including books, games, art, children’s toys – even personal chef lessons! Why buy more gifts and have massive debt this Christmas? Share the abundance that already exists in our community instead. This is a FREE event, money is not permitted. All are welcome.
Thursday, December 17th: LAUNCH PARTY sponsored by Left Field Brewery! Bring at least one gift for swapping and enjoy free snacks and drinks from 7-10PM.
Friday, December 18th: Open from 12pm-8pm
Saturday, December 19th: Open from 10am-5pm
Sunday, December 20th: Open from 10am-5pm
