Steven Lambke is a songwriter exploring the intersection of the intimate and the cosmic. A poet mapping the limits of his language, he has been called "one of Canada's best lyricists" by the CBC. Steven is appearing at the Burdock to celebrate the release of Days Of Heaven, an ode to absent muses, to the unknown, to brothers and stones, sunflowers and swallows.
Eucalyptus is a 8-piece instrumental ensemble. Formed by alto saxophonist Brodie West in 2009, this stellar line up of Toronto musicians draw on a rich history of collaboration which extends back well past a decade. West's compositions feature lyrical melody and languid dance rhythms alongside free form blowing and adventurous collective improvisation
