Hailing from Oakland, CA, Del the Funky Homosapien first started writing with his cousin Ice Cube and his group Da Lench Mob shortly after Cube left NWA. In 1991, Del released his first solo album I wish My Brother George Was Here produced by

Ice Cube on Elektra Records with hit singles Mistadobalina, Sleepin On My Couch and Dr. Bombay. He followed that up with his albums No Need For Alarm, Future Development, and Both Sides of the Brain with much success. He also founded legendary West Coast hip hop group Hieroglyphics. Del is also known for his character Deltron Zero as 1/3 of the super-group Deltron 3030 along with Dan the Automator and Kid

Koala. Del is most commercially known for his collaboration with The Gorillaz on their debut platinum hit single "Clint Eastwood". Del continues to tour the world spreading the funk and creating timeless music.
