After a year of shows and writing, The Basement Paintings are putting out a new full length album, “Mystic”, and kicking off a four province tour in Regina before heading east through Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia. ‘Mystic’ is the follow up to 2013 EP ‘Time Lapse City’ which was produced and mixed by Aaron Harris (Isis the band).
Band Bio:
Conceived in the near hypothermic prairies of Saskatchewan, The Basement Paintings overall sound can be categorized into ambient and post-metal genres. Drums and bass pound the low end of the frequency range, while the slithering reverberations of the string section widen the spectrum to exhaustive levels of grandiosity.
