Have you ever wished for an opportunity to dance, minus the unavoidable eye contact, minus the awkward-dance-circles, minus skin-tight-spandex, minus the uninvited grinding, minus the pretentious playlists, minus the alcohol, minus the lights?
// A DANCE JAM IN THE DARK FOR THE JOY OF DANCING //
We dim the lights, curate an eclectic playlist (a little bit of everything, with a weakness for d-floor classics), and turn up the volume. It’s your opportunity to dance no matter your age, body shape or ability. It’s your opportunity to dance like no one is watching, because no one is.
And this month, we’re blowing out our candles and turning two – which means we’re going to dance in the dark like always, but longer and harder and maybe with a surprise or two.
Tickets are limited – we want everyone to have ample space to bust moves – so get in quick!
WHEN: Friday 26th February, 8-1030PM
WHERE: 918 Bathurst Centre for Culture, Arts, Media & Education (Bloor & Bathurst)
HOW MUCH: $8 early bird, $10 tickets, $15 if you’d like to support the contributing artists!

“I didn’t think I would be the sort of person to get really into an Ed Sheeran club remix, but it turns out that I am, and that doing so is the most fun I’ve had in weeks. There is so much available to you on an anonymous dance floor. Sure, you don’t want to be the person twirling around at the club, but, newsflash, twirling is awesome and the ability to do it to any song you want is a serious luxury.” – Torontoist
“The joy of grooving gets hammered out of us as we learn to dance for the gaze of others. NLNL was where I unlearned all that bullshit and started feeling the beat again.” –Thibault, NLNL regular
