Wendy McGuire is an Assistant Professor in the York University School of Social Work where she teaches critical social theory, research methods and critical social work practice. Her research focuses on digital activism and the use of digital technologies in linking local and global LGBT human rights movements, in collaboration with the Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto. This includes a digital storytelling project with LGBT refugees living in Toronto.
