The School of Toronto Dance Theatre presents the graduating class of our three year Professional Training Program in ACCELERATION 2016 – an evening of works by iconic creators who have shaped the landscape of modern dance in Canada.
ACCELERATION 2016 features:
— New commissions by prominent Toronto choreographers Peter Chin and Susie Burpee.
— Duet from Christopher House‘s beautiful and eloquent Fjeld (1990), inspired by the religious paintings of the late Renaissance.
— Remount of Peggy Baker’s complex and unpredictable coalesce (2010), performed to an electro-acoustic score by Debashis Sinha.
— Revival of James Kudelka’s masterful and demanding unfinished business (1984), originally created for Dancemakers to a commissioned score by Michael J. Baker.
