On May 7th, join us away from the water cooler as we creatively explore contemporary ideas & contradictions about the way we work. At root an economic necessity, work takes on emotional and even existential meanings as it takes over more and more of our daily lives. Three writers present their publishing débuts—Daniel Perry with Hamburger (Thistledown), Joni Murphy with Double Teenage and Malcolm Sutton with Job Shadowing (BookThug)—each of which offer idiosyncratic perspectives on the reality of work and labour. They are joined by Tough Guy Mountain, a satirical performance art collective who lambast the whole system.
Hosted by Catherine Ribeiro.
