LayTheseKnight, which began in the back room of Redlight until it got a little too big, celebrates it’s 5th anniversary in style – by ALSO celebrating the 10th anniversary of Famous Players, who are as shocked by that information as you are.
Over the last 10 year Famous Players have played everywhere from the Air Canada Centre to The Barn, from dingy bars to nicer dingy bars, and as far away as not really that far away. They were lothed by other DJs because, frankly, they were little shits, but slowly but surely their unnerving positivity and willingness to put the iPod away after a few years got the better of Toronto, and they’ve been more or less embraced by everyone since (including Embrace!)
If the last 10 years have taught them anything, they forgot it almost immediately. Come have fun with the dummies who used to wear matching shirts and now have matching guts.
