The Toronto Art Blast is the city of Toronto’s first-ever, city-wide open studio and exhibition event. The event kicks off with a festive Opening Celebration and Preview Exhibition and is followed by three weekends of self-guided tours of artist studios and exhibition spaces throughout the city of Toronto and boroughs. The event is free for the public.

Printed guidebooks and online artist directories guide visitors to the artist studios and exhibition spaces around the city where the participating artists show. During the event, there are street signs directing the public to artist locations. The event is a great opportunity for artists and art collectors to connect one-on-one with one another in interesting and inspiring environments and for the public to purchase art directly from the artists. Artist venues can range from home studios, outdoor venues, gallery settings, co-op spaces, cafés, restaurants, back yards and other alternative exhibition spaces. Many artists serve refreshments, many give live demonstrations and some may even have live music.

The 1st Annual Toronto Art Blast features 45 talented artists working in various mediums including photography, ceramics, mixed media, fiber art, painting, drawing, home decor, sculpture, illustration, encaustic, charcoal, wearable art, printmaking, tile, and watercolour.

Online artist directories and maps can be viewed on our website at www.TorontoArtBlast.com or pick up copies of our printed guidebook at our Opening on July 9 or at various pick-up locations throughout the city, listed on our website in June, while supplies last.
