“Are You Ready Brother?”

This concert is dedicated to showcasing the music of Russian-Canadian composer Nikolai Sergeevich Korndorf. Featured compositions include; “Yarilo” for solo piano, “Are you Ready Brother?” for piano trio, and “Dance in Metal in honour of John Cage” for solo percussionist. Our program will also include the performance of the solo flute piece, Avarice by former Korndorf student Gregory Lee Newsome as well as a pre-concert lecture by Newsome detailing Korndorf’s life and musical legacy.
