ABSTRACTIONS IN NATURE -IMAGINATION IS EVERYTHING. Paintings by Alain Amar
These paintings by Alain Norman Amar explore the abstract elements of
pattern, texture and light in nature. The same elements of nature,
appear in recognizable and identifiable forms all around us. However, as
they exist in form, order and formulaic generation, they are less
recognized as Abstractions in Nature, and are in our very presence and
foreground, and engage the imagination
Amar’s painting bring these elements to the forefront, in both broad raw
form representation and illusionary layers with use of oil paint, beeswax
and pencil.
The exhibition is a tribute in memory of the late Joseph David Amar( my
brother ) . Painter, Joseph David lived in New York from 1970’s
through to late 1980’s with exhibitions in Toronto at the Loranger
Gallery, Gallery O, Olga Korper.. and in NYC at the OK Harris Gallery,
Bess Cutler,Sue Ellen Haber and in group shows from Los Angeles to
Washington and Europe.
