In honour of World Lion Day, the Toronto Zoo invites you to join us for the first annual Lion Awareness Day as we celebrate the King of the Savanna! World Lion Day is a global campaign encouraging people internationally to do something to recognize lions and support lion conservation.
Drop by the Lion Viewing Area to visit our pride and learn about them first hand from our dedicated Zoo keepers and volunteers. Find out how you can help this vulnerable species during our special Meet-the-Keeper talks at the lion exhibit at 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm. PLUS, bid on fun prizes in a silent auction, enjoy lion themed activities and games, merchandise and check out our bio facts table with educational artifacts.
All proceeds raised will support Living With Lions an organization working in unprotected areas of Kenya to save the remaining population of wild lions and other predators.
