May I never be complete. May I never be content. May I never be perfect.

Impossible Possession: desire is a human struggle. An impossible possession is an unrealistic ideal manifested through our desire or aspirations.
With different backgrounds, interests, and approaches, seven artists explore and demonstrate various understandings of this unattainable pursuit through the figure. Collectively, they speak from the personal narrative of identity to the grand narrative of our anthropology. They touch on the introspective process of the pursuit, as well as the consequences and wake of ideological desires that reside within ourselves. Through the universality of the figure, the artists aim to use its image as an allegory for the impossible possession.
