Charlton Jonathon Rope and Bobby James Clive Lavallee charged for murder in Regina

Two Regina males have been charged with Second Degree Murder in connection with the death of a 16 year-old male, whose body was found, on May 7, 2011, on the ground near the intersection of 8th Avenue and Rae Street.

At about 5:12 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2011, police officers en route to an unrelated matter found the body of a male youth in the front yard of a property near 8th Avenue and Rae Street. The male was confirmed deceased and the death was initially deemed an apparent homicide pending the results of the autopsy ordered by the Coroner. The subsequent investigation has confirmed this death to be a homicide and led to the arrest of two adult male suspects on May 10, 2011. Both were arrested without incident. This investigation is ongoing.

Twenty-five year-old Charlton Jonathon ROPE, DOB: 1985-10-26, of Regina, is charged with Second Degree Murder [235(1) CC] and Breach of Undertaking [145(3) CC]. Twenty-one year-old Bobby James Clive LAVALLEE, DOB: 1989-09-15, of Regina is charged with Second Degree Murder [235(1) CC] and Breach of Probation [733.1(1) CC]. Both men will make their first court appearance on these matters in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2011.
