Supreme Court of Pakistan issues notice to Ali Musa Gillani, son of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Yousaf Raza Gillani, regarding the import of chemical Ephedrine case on Tuesday.

Alongside issuing a notice to the son of the Prime Minister, a notice was also issued to the Secretary of Anti-Narcotics Froce (ANF) Khushnood Lashari as he is accused to siding with the son of the prime minister and attempting to use illegal measures to save the Musa Gillani from accusations. ANF investigation team also requested the interior ministry to put the name of Musa Gillani into the Exit Control List to ensure that the case runs smoothly and Musa Gillani does not fly out of the country hampering the proceedings of the case.

The ephedrine case which surfaced with the name of the son of the Prime Minister includes a scam of Rs. 7 billion regarding the sale of the prohibited drug within Pakistan. The regional director of ANF Fahim Ahemd Khan also informed the court that during his time of investigation into the case, the process was forcefully stopped by the secretary of the control board of narcotics Zaffar Abbas to make sure no allegations were put on Ali Musa Gillani. Mr. Fahim Ahmed also informed that the investigation team under his supervision was also changed during this time and it was known that some influential government officials had ordered to do so.
