Unlucky in love? Take heart, for a German university is offering a course to help student “techies, geeks and nerds” find true lover.

Engineering students at the University of Potsdam, Berlin, will be taught how to seduce and flirt with the fairer sex using texts, emails and interacting at parties.

More than 440 students have already enrolled for the two-week course, where they will be given lessons on “cool” walking.

They will also be teaching how to hold a captivating conversation with a potential mate – but there will also be a module on rejection.

The lessons are part of the social skills section of the IT course and are designed to ease the students’ entry into the world of work.

The course open to only to students with Masters degree, will also give lessons on body language, public-speaking, stress management and presentation skills.

Philip von Senftleben, an author and radio presenter who will teach the course, summed up his job as teaching how to “get someone else’s heart beating fast while yours stays calm.”

“We want to prepare our students with the social skills needed to succeed both in their private life and work life,” the Telegraph quoted Hans-Joachim Allgaier, a spokesman for the university as saying.
