Renegade organist Cameron Carpenter (a man so extravagantly gifted he can play Bach with his feet) takes the lead in performing a brand new concerto by Terry Riley, one of the fathers of minimalism. Then there’s Michael Gordon’s love-obsessed Sunshine of Your Love (based on the Cream song) and John Adams conducting his own symphony-in-all-but-name, Naive and Sentimental Music. World premieres, major works and unparalleled virtuosity will all come pouring out of this Minimalist Jukebox event at Walt Disney Concert Hall.
