They tapped, hopped and shuffled their way to stardom, and now Hollywood’s greatest tap dance team — The Nicholas Brothers — will be honored in this star-studded gala at the historic Alex Theatre. In Person: The Nicholas Brothers Tribute will chronicle Fayard and Harold Nicholas’ rise to fame and stardom, from their humble beginnings in Philadelphia to pioneering and redefining the tap genre both on stage and on the silver screen. This celebratory one-night-only event will feature Q&As with Nicholas family members, celebrity friends and co-stars, plus rare and never-before-seen home movie footage and clips from their dazzling feature film performances. The evening will also include dramatic on-stage reenactments from landmark moments in their lives and amazing tap numbers performed by top dancers choreographed by Fayard’s talented granddaughter, Cathie Nicholas.
