Mukesh Chhabra, one of the best known names in the casting fraternity, has now join hands with Suniel Shetty to start an online venture ‘F…the Couch’ (FTC), a one stop shop for all the aspirants in showbiz. Besides actors, singers and dancers, FTC also provides platform for aspiring writers, directors, cinematographers, assistant directors, production designers, choreographers, composers, models, art directors, editors, animators, location hunters and even pets.
Speaking about FTC, Mukesh Chabbra says “Not everyone can come to the ‘maayanagari’ to fulfil their dream. Some may manage coming but sustenance is tough & it hurts the most when the struggle is to no avail.” On the other hand, Suniel Shetty said, “After the digital inroads we made successfully with ‘Active Fitness’ (Tata Sky), showbiz followed naturally. I decided to step in having seen newcomers often being misled by miscreants. On FTC, technology enabled us to bridge the gap between the job seekers and providers. And we strongly believe that ‘Talent kahin bhi dikhta hai’ & it can be displayed from anywhere in the world. Akshay Vatsa (CEO-FTC) said, “F…The Couch, as the name suggests, is a protest against all existing irregularities deterring true talent from getting its due. And this crusade couldn’t have got a better torchbearer, than Suniel Shetty, whose company S2Ventures, spearheads FTC.”
