Producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar and director Shujaat Saudaagar can exhale. Rock On 2 has gone through the censor board and come out unscathed.
The film has been passed with a ‘UA’ and almost no cuts. Only one piece of dialogue needs to be redubbed.
Says director Shujaat Saudaagar, “It’s a dialogue that we need to re-do for the purpose of clarity. There’s a character who is played by an actor in Meghalaya. His Hindi is not very clear. We need to do a small re-dubbing for the sake of clarity. Even before the censor board asked we were going to do this re-dubbing.”
Says producer Ritesh Sidhwami happily, “Honestly, I expected no cuts. It’s a clean wholesome film to be enjoyed by the whole family. Audiences can expect a different experience in this segment of the Rock On journey.”
