We all know that Sabbir Khan has already commenced the shooting for his next project titled Munna Michael. The film stars Tiger Shroff in the lead and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the main antagonist. As the film will see Tiger Shroff showcasing some of his smooth moves inspired by Michael Jackson, it turns out Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be matching the steps with him.
Ganesh Acharya has choreographed a song sequence titled Swag in which both the actors have a dance off. The song sequence is shot in a large hall at Imperial Palance in Mumbai with an ornate, rotating mirror where Tiger shows off some smooth moonwalking while Nawaz matches along. Sabbir Khan revealed that they have been shooting for over two days now and Nawaz’s sincerity has been mindblowing. But, they also couldn’t help but have a share of laughs when Nawaz got the steps wrong. For the song Swag, he had to prepare for a week. As the story unfolds, by the end of the film he is supposed to look like a professional dancer.
Nawazzuddin Siddiqui informed that he is having so much fun shooting for this film. Talking about his role in the film, he revealed he is playing a hotel owner who befriends Tiger’s character who is a Michael Jackson devotee. He praised Tiger by saying that just watching him dance is a big enough lesson. Nawaz also revealed that there will be a big finale dance sequence for which he has nail every move and be perfect, just like Tiger. The song sequence will be shot in March. So, Nawaz has four months to prepare for the shoot and he is planning to do it even while working on his next film.
Tiger Shroff also spoke about the song saying that the whole idea was to feed off each other’s styles. He confessed that he was really bummed after the failure of A Flying Jatt. At such a time, being around an actor like Nawaz has been really invigorating for him. Tiger said that he can’t wait to film the final dance sequence with Nawaz. He called Nawaz a very hard working actor and he is sure that Nawaz will give him a tough fight with his energy.
Directed by Sabbir Khan, Munna Michael also stars Nidhhi Agerwal and is slated to release on July 7, 2017.
