It was definitely a nostalgic moment for Vidya Balan to revive the thriller franchise that got her fame and awards and now she is gearing up for the release of the second instalment in the Kahaani series, Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh. The film’s trailer that continues to intrigue with its glimpses also showcased that it starts off with a disappearance of a girl child played Naisha Khanna.
The bond between Vidya Balan and Naisha Khanna has been showcased in a couple of songs from the film but what left an impact was a scene where the kid is seen jumping off the terrace. Getting emotional about it, we hear that Vidya ended up bursting into tears whilst shooting the scene. Talking about the incident, Vidya continued to praise Naisha for her courage but mentioned that the scene gave her knot in her stomach and she ended up crying while Naisha was smiling after wrapping up the shot.
Sujoy too revealed details of the incident adding that they initially thought Vidya was playing a prank since she has an image of a prankster on the sets, who is constantly on a look-out for a target. But when she continued to cry, Sujoy decided to pacify her and it took him more than two hours to do so.
Also starring Arjun Rampal, Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh is slated to release next week on December 2.
