Reviving the ‘Ekla Cholo’ feel from the prequel, the second instalment of the Kahaani series too will have an iconic Bengali track. Considering that Kahaani 2 too is based at the backdrop of West Bengal, not surprisingly, the film will have Rabindranath Tagore touch with ‘Anandkole’.
The said number will be sung by Clinton Cerejo who was excited and nervous about singing his first Bengali song. Since he is not a Bengali, the musician claimed that it was quite a challenge for him to sing it and that it was Sujoy who guided him during the dubbing session. As far as the song is concerned, Clinton explained that the meaning of ‘Anandoloke’ is abode of joy and it talks about happy endings. He also added that besides using it in the end credits, the song will also be featured in a school sequence where kids are seen singing it.
Though this is the second instalment, Kahaani 2 is a complete different story with Vidya Balan playing the role of Durga Rani Singh and Arjun Rampal playing a cop investigating the case. The film, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, is slated to release on December 2.
