Sanjay Gupta is gearing up for one of the first and biggest releases of 2017, the Hrithik Roshan starrer Kaabil where the protagonist is blind. As excited he is about his next release, the filmmaker expressed one of his biggest wishes and that is to work with Ranbir Kapoor.
As he continues to gush about the abundant talent that Ranbir Kapoor has, Sanjay Gupta revealed that he is dying to work with the Kapoor boy and that he already has a script ready for him. The director mentioned that he has a script titled Bigde Nawab and he adamantly adds that he wouldn’t narrate it to anyone apart from Ranbir. Sanjay confessed that if he ever plans to move forward with the film it will only be the Kapoor boy who will play the lead role and no one else. He revealed that he can’t visualize anyone else playing the character better than Ranbir himself.
Sanjay Gupta described the film as a wholesome drama in Rajkumar Hirani style. Sanjay was also left impressed with Ranbir’s performance in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and couldn’t stop praising the actor’s expressive face. Further, Gupta also mentioned that Ranbir is yet to do a role, a sort of a scene where when he enters – people immediately stand up. He also believes that filmmakers who are fortunate enough to work with him are yet to give in their 500 percent.
Ranbir Kapoor will next be seen in Jagga Jasoos opposite former girlfriend Katrina Kaif and he has already started preparing for Ayan Mukerji’s Dragon.
