In the past year, Priyanka Chopra has become a global icon with her success in Hollywood. To honour her achievements in both the industries, Parineeti Chopra will pay a special tribute to her sister Priyanka Chopra at the upcoming Stardust Awards 2016.
Parineeti Chopra will be performing on some of the hit tracks of Priyanka Chopra that will include many costume changes. The songs that she will groove to are ‘Aaj Ki Raat’, ‘Ram Chahe Leela’, ‘Darling’, ‘Marjawan’, ‘Come to Me’ and ‘Desi Girl’. Parineeti shared a video from the rehearsals and said that she is very nervous to perform on her sister’s song. She wrote, “PC junior pays tribute to PC senior!! The best stage performer on the planet. Never been so nervous in my life. #stardust @priyankachopra.” To this, Priyanka responded in a very sweet way and wrote, “You will be amazing and I’ll be there to watch and cheer! Big hug @ParineetiChopra.”
An ecstatic Parineeti said that she has been trying to make this tribute to Priyanka Chopra happen for some time now, but this year around, she finally had the time and space to develop it to its best. Parineeti continued praising her sister and called her an inspiration and a huge support system. By this tribute, it is her way of saluting Priyanka’s fantastic body of work in Hindi cinema. She said that not many can dance as well as Priyanka does, so she is trying her absolute best to deliver a fitting tribute. Parineeti called Desi Girl her favourite track from Priyanka’s films and she is thrilled to perform to that.
Stardust Awards 2016 will take place on December 21, 2016.
