It isn’t new to see fans being dumbstruck when they come across their idols and when younger actors come across yesteryear stars and evergreen divas they are equally in awe of them. One such moment happened in the life of Vidya Balan.
Vidya Balan was recently seen attending the screening of the much awaited film Dangal and quite surprisingly, this one was graced by none other than the evergreen diva Rekha. The latter rarely attends any such events but spotting her at a screening devoid of her patent Kanjeevaram saree had left many surprised. And it was Vidya who lived her fan moment with the original Umrao Jaan of Bollywood.
Vidya, who has of late taken an interest to social media, shared a picture on Instagram with Rekha after meeting her at the screening and captioned it saying, “With the eternal ‘Madam Re’”. Besides this, if there is yet another connection that the two share, it is their love for sarees. While Rekha is famous for the quintessential Kanjeevaram sarees that she often sports during award functions, there have been various occasions where we have seen Vidya in a saree. In fact, the latter is a self-confessed fan of sarees considering that she also idolizes Rekha in a way.
Last seen in Kahaani 2, Vidya Balan is currently gearing up for Begum Jaan, which is a remake of the critically acclaimed Bengali film Rajkahini in which the actress plays the role of a brothel owner.
