After having stunned everyone (like always) with her stellar performance in Kahaani 2 last year, the gorgeous Vidya Balan is ready to strike again this year with Begum Jaan. Readers may recall that we had reported that Begum Jaan being a remake of the Bengali film Rajkahini.
This time round, Bollywood Hungama got its hands on a first look of the film that has Vidya Balan smoking a hooka lying on a cot with her ‘sevikas’ around her. Vidya Balan had recently said that the film was a story of survivors as they defy nations to save their homes. She added that the film’s story has been set amidst the changing political scenario during the partition and that they are in the process of finishing the dubbing and post production work of the film.
The film will see the veteran Asha Bhosle crooning a song which will be picturised on Vidya Balan. The music of which has been composed by Anu Malik. The said song also will mark the reunion of Anu Malik and Asha Bhosle after 10 years.
Begum Jaan has been shot in parts of Punjab, Delhi and Jharkhand. Besides Vidya Balan, Begum Jaan also stars Pallavi Sharda, Gauhar Khan among others and will release on March 17, 2017.
