There have been many instances when the accessories worn by stars become a fad and a fashion statement amongst the cinegoers. After having created fashion styles like T-shirts, wristbands and ‘cool’ chains in the past films, this time round, the glasses that Shah Rukh Khan wears in his upcoming film Raees have already caught the ‘eye’ of the cinegoers.
Cashing in on the trend, the makers of Raees have come up with a very unique promotional idea. They distributed similar glasses to some of the media members. Readers may also know that, besides the glasses, the term ‘Battery nahi bolne ka’ and ‘battery saala’ have also become the catchphrases amongst the masses.
What many may not know is that, before zeroing down on the approved look of the glasses in Raees, as many as 50 options were tried. Not just that, the vendors from Bengaluru to China were approached to get the right one as the film’s director Rahul Dholakia was very specific about the glasses to give an edgy look to SRK’s character.
Raees stars Shah Rukh Khan, Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead roles. The film, which has been directed by Rahul Dholakia will be releasing on 25th January this year.
