By now we all know that after being seen sharing screen space with Amitabh Bachchan in Shamitabh, Akshara Haasan will next be seen in the film Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laddoo Deewana. However, even though the film is yet to release, we hear that the workers from the political party Vishwa Hindu Parishad recently held a protest outside the office of TP Agarwal.
The said protest against the film came after news of Akshara playing a pregnant woman who gets married in the film reached the media. Apparently, the members of VHP took objection to this claiming that it hurt their religious sentiments since according to Hindu tradition, a woman cannot get married while pregnant. If that wasn’t all the protestors also demanded that the said scene where a pregnant Akshara Haasan is seen taking the ‘saat pheras’ be deleted from the film.
However, refusing to bow down to the demands the filmmakers have refused to delete the said scene from the film stating that the film has already been cleared by the Censor Board of Film Certification and has been granted a U/A rating.
