The current superstar of Bollywood, Salman Khan has always shared a special bond with kids and his off screen love for them often reflects even on the big screen. Cashing in on the same, we hear the director of his next, Tubelight, Kabir Khan has decided to use this rapport in the much anticipated upcoming teaser of the film.
Tubelight which is a period drama will feature kids from Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments (the building where the actor resides in suburban Mumbai) who will be seen giving voice overs in the teaser. Talking about it, filmmaker Kabir Khan revealed that while they received this idea during a brainstorming session with the actor. They were also sure that they did not want trained or professional kids. Going by Salman’s suggestion, they decided to take the kids from his building to the studio.
Salman Khan apparently took the initiative of speaking to kids ranging from six to eleven years old from his building and later after getting to the studio, explained to them about the whole concept. Reportedly, the conversation that the kids will be engaging will literally be about tubelights. Kabir Khan asserted that they will be using this in teaser logo as well as the teaser promo of the film.
Reminiscing about shooting with Salman Khan for Bajrangi Bhaijaan where the actor shared a great on screen rapport with child actor Harshali Malhotra, Kabir maintained that the actor has always been great around kids. Considering his special equation with them, the director decided to go ahead with this concept.
Tubelight also marks the debut of Chinese actress Zhu Zhu in Bollywood and the film also stars Salman’s real life brother Sohail Khan. The film, set in the backdrop of 1962 Indo-China war, is slated to release on June 23.
