Around 3 years back, filmmaker Anant Mahadevan had announced a film titled The Storyteller, in which he had incorporated Satyajit Ray’s popular Bengali fictional character Tarini Ranjan Bandopadhyay. At first, Paresh Rawal was to do the titular character, but, because of his other commitments, the role went onto Naseeruddin Shah. Post that, the film got stuck for a long time.
The latest update is that, the film is back on track and will see the glorious presence of both Paresh Rawal and Naseeruddin Shah as well. Paresh Rawal announced, “Soon will be doing a film written by Satyajit Ray himself !!! With Naseeruddin Shah n Dir by Ananth Mahadevan.”
Readers may recall that, the veteran actors viz., Paresh Rawal and Naseeruddin Shah were earlier seen together in many films including Maharathi, China Gate, Mirch Masala, Sir etc…
