Just recently we had reported that veteran actor Vinod Khanna who was suffering from bladder cancer had been hospitalized. In fact we had also shared an image of the actor who looked nothing like his former self. Now we hear that Vinod Khanna passed away earlier today at a local hospital.

According to the reports, Vinod Khanna was admitted to HN Reliance Foundation and Research Centre in Girgaon, Mumbai recently. His photos had recently gone viral on various social media platform in which looked frail and had lost a lot of weight. He was hospitalised due to severe dehydration. He breathed his last on April 27.

Vinod Khanna was a sitting Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Gurdaspur district of Punja. He was seen in 141 films between 1968 and 2013. He had done several lead roles in films including Mere Apne, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Gaddaar, Jail Yatra, Imitihaan, Inkaar, Kuchhe Dhaage, Amar Akbar Anthony, Qurbani, Kudrat, Dayavan, Kaarnama, Suryaa: An Awakening and Jurm. The veteran actor was felicitated with Filmfare award in the best supporting actor category for Haath Ki Safaai. In the year 1999, he was awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award. Although Vinod Khanna was busy with political career, he did not opt of movies. He was seen in Salman Khan starrer Dabangg and Dabangg 2 and Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dilwale.

It was only the late 2016 and early 2017, it was reported that Vinod Khanna’s health was deteriorating. In his last days, he was surrounded by all his children and wife Kavita. His work in Hindi film industry will always be remembered.
