Daler Mehndi’s hit song ‘Kudiyan Shehar Diyan’ from Rahul Rawail’s 1999 action drama Arjun Pandit has now been recreated. The remixed version of the song will feature in Shreyas Talpade’s Poster Boys, the official Hindi remake of the actor-producer’s 2014 Marathi film by the same name.
The song is choreographed by Ganesh Acharya and features Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Elli Avram and Shreyas Talpade himself. Daler Mehndi has also sung the re-created version along with Neha Kakkar. Tanishk Bagchi has composed the song.
Interestingly, Arjun Pandit also featured Sunny Deol but he wasn’t part of the original version of ‘Kudiyan Shehar Diyan’. It was Daler Mehndi who made a special appearance and shook a leg with the film’s leading lady Juhi Chawla.
Shreyas Talpade confirmed that the remixed ‘Kudiyan Shehar Diyan’ would be shown in the opening sequence of the film. The requirement was of a vibrant, energetic track. The entire team agreed that ‘Kudiyan Shehar Diyan’ fits the bill. Also, the fact that the song is still popular and has great nostalgic value was a big reason why it was recreated.
Poster Boys is all set to release on September 8, 2017.
