As movie goers get set to experience the journey of Harry and Sejal next Friday, the director of Harry Met Sejal Imtiaz Ali is gearing up for his own journey, across the border to the world’s happiest nation. The ace director is all set to speak at the eighth edition of the Mountain Echoes Literary Festival, Bhutan’s annual literary, arts and cultural festival. The unique festival is scheduled to be held from August 25th till August 27th in the heart of Bhutan’s national capital, Thimphu.
The director, who is the force behind memorable films such as Jab Wet Met, Rockstar and Tamasha will be in conversion with popular Bhutanese actress and former Miss Bhutan Tsokye Tshomo. The pair will engage audiences in an informative session about contemporary culture and cinema.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Eastern Himalayas, Mountain Echoes Literary Festival is an initiative of the India Bhutan Foundation and brings together some of the world’s most celebrated personalities to engage in cultural dialogue, share stories, create memories and spend three blissful days in the mountains.
Jab Harry Met Sejal stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in leading roles and is all set to release on August 4.
