“My tweets are from the heart; I take the trolls with a pinch of salt” – Rishi Kapoor

Rishi Kapoor is one of the most controversial Twitter personalities from Bollywood. While other celebrities try to avoid controversy or talk about sensitive topics, Rishi Kapoor takes these issues head on and tweets fearlessly. The actor has tweeted about beef ban, roads being named after Gandhi family etc. As expected, he gets a lot of negative comments and gets trolled a lot by those who don’t agree with his suggestions.

At the trailer launch of his film Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi, Rishi Kapoor was asked to comment on this aspect. The actor heartily said, “I tweet for myself. I have an opinion and a point of view. And I write that and I end up writing something controversial. But it’s all from the heart. As for the trolls and negative comments, I take it with a pinch of salt. Maze ki baatein hai, we should not take these things seriously.”

Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi co-stars Paresh Rawal, Vir Das and Payal Ghosh. It is directed by Sanjay Chhel and releases on September 15. Rishi Kapoor will be then seen in 102 Not Out, co-starring Amitabh Bachchan. It is directed by Umesh Shukla, with whom Rishi Kapoor worked in All Is Well in 2015.
