Bollywood lauds PV Sindhu

PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal, India’s top Badminton players, made the country proud with their respective wins at the World Badminton Championship 2017.

India’s Olympic 2016 silver medalist PV Sindhu lost to Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara in one of the most intense and exciting women’s singles final of the World Badminton Championships on Sunday. Sindhu lost 19-21, 22-20, 20-22 against Okuhara in a grueling match that lasted an hour and 50 minutes. It was Sindhu’s third medal at the World Championships, with two bronze medals in 2013 and 2014.

Saina Nehwal had also reached the semi finals but lost to Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara with 21-12, 17-21, 10-21 to finish with a bronze at the Championships. This is the first time that India has won two medals at the same World Championships.

Just like the entire nation, Bollywood celebrities lauded both PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal for their brilliant performances and bringing home two medals. Ranveer Singh, Amitabh Bachchan, Farhan Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor and more celebrities applauded by the girls for their incredible efforts and showered them with love.
