Harshvardhan Kapoor made his debut last year with Mirzya. The film flopped but it didn’t put a roadblock on his career. Before its release, he had already signed the vigilante drama Bhavesh Joshi, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. And now the actor has bagged his third project, which is also quite a huge one. Harshvardhan Kapoor will be playing ace shooter Abhinav Bindra in his biopic, directed by Kannan Iyer, who earlier directed the 2013 horror flick Ek Thi Daayan.
Two days ago, Harshvardhan Kapoor posted a picture of him seated with Abhinav Bindra himself. Both were all smiles, with Harshvardhan admitting that he’s very excited for the biopic. Today, he posted a brief video featuring him in a shooting range and prepping for the role. The actor can be seen holding a gun and listening to the instructions of an expert. “#PrepMode! What a great feeling to be back in prep mode for my next movie. I always enjoy this time and here is when I really start shaping into the role I’m about to play. Can’t wait to take you guys along with me on this journey #AbhinavBindra #LetsDoThis” is the caption of the picture.
The Abhinav Bindra biopic is being adapted from Bindra’s autobiography ‘A Shot At History: My Obsessive Journey To Olympic Gold’. Abhay Koranne, who wrote the final draft of Bhavesh Joshi, was brought on board by Harshvardhan Kapoor. It is produced by Arjun N Kapoor, Prernaa Arora and Harshvardhan’s father Anil Kapoor.
