There have been rumours that super hit writer-director Jodi of Farhad – Sajid is heading for a split. In a Bollywood Hungama exclusive with Faridoon Shahryar, Farhad Samji and Sajid Samji opened up in detail. The duo accepted that they shall also be working in individual capacity both as writers as well as director. “We shall complete our pending work and even in future we shall continue doing work,” Farhad Samji said.
Sajid Samji added that the decision to work in individual capacity had been taken a year back and then they worked on Judwaa 2 and Golmaal Again. “If there had been any friction then it would have shown in our work but the dialogues of both the films are earning a great response,” Sajid said. “We would like to give creative space to each other so that our personal relationship remains intact. We are brothers, khoon ka rishta hai, that’s the most important relationship,” Farhad said.
“We are the best bouncing boards for each other. We are the best critics of each other. People ask that when everything is going well why are you guys going different ways. I ask them, that is it not better that we also explore different avenues when things are good between us. Why should we wait for things to go sour and then go on a different path,” Sajid said.
