While the awards gala in the country is yet to kick start for 2018, the Bollywood celebrities are busy attending these ceremonies abroad where they are being felicitated. One amongst them was Sanjay Dutt who took off to UAE along with wife Maanayata Dutt for Asiavision Movie Awards. Here the actor was presented with a special award for being a popular Indian star.
Earlier we had reported that Deepika Padukone was presented with the award for Global Icon at this awards gala that was held in Sharjah. Now, Sanjay Dutt too was conferred with an honour of the most popular Indian actor during the ceremony. It seems in a survey conducted recently, Sanjay emerged out to be victorious in the most popular Indian star category.
Sanjay Dutt has an immense fan following even in India. Maanayata, who was earlier occupied with her prior work commitments, accompanied her husband Sanjay to receive this special award. On the other hand, Sanjay, who had taken a break from his film Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 shoot to spend some time with family, made a visit to UAE during this time.

Besides this, Sanjay Dutt also has Torbaaz, Sadak 2 among other films in the pipeline and is said to start work on them very soon.
