Hollywood movies are a source of inspiration for most of our films, whether it is a poster, a character, or a frame by frame copy of the original counterpart. But now we seem to be getting inspired by their TV shows too.
After watching the first promo of Kunal Kohli’s Shahid Kapoor- Priyanka Chopra starrer Teri Meri Kahaani, we couldn’t help but notice that Shahid’s look in the 1960’s segment, where he plays a struggling musician, looks heavily inspired from the character of Damon Salvatore of the supernatural drama TV series The Vampire Diaries.
In the 1960’s segment, Shahid is seen sporting pants with suspenders and a hat, which is very similar to the look that the character of Damon Salvatore (played by Ian Somerhalder) sports in the 1864 segments in the hugely popular American TV series.
Earlier Shahid’s Mausam co-star Sonam Kapoor had also borrowed heavily from the character of Blair Waldorf of American series Gossip Girl for her look in the movie Aisha.
