In a scene straight out of his film My Name Is Khan, Shah Rukh Khan was recently detained at the New York White Plane Airport for over two hours. The actor had flown to NYC to address the Yale University students.

Shah Rukh, who has been named a Chubb Fellow, one of the Ivy League institution’s highest honours, on April 12 for promoting human ideals through art, was accompanied by Neeta Ambani. However, despite the rest of the passengers being cleared without a hitch, SRK was detained, which led to the university officials contacting the Department of Homeland Security and the Immigration and Customs Department at Washington, about his detention.

However, details about why the actor was detained are yet to be confirmed.

This is the second time that SRK has been detained in US. In 2009 also, he was stopped at the Newark Airport for questioning.
