Deepika Padukone is an actress par excellence and has now become a global icon to boot too. After her successful outings at MET Gala and Cannes Film Festival this year, she indeed has become a hot property for brands and filmmakers. Moreover, let’s not forget that she headlined a magnum opus Padmaavat which made record breaking business at the box office. This cemented her position as the queen of Bollywood even more. But regardless of being a successful public personality, she also is a typical elder sister to Anisha Padukone and shares a very close knit bond with her. In fact, she came with Anisha to Vogue BFFs and regaled us with all the funny moments and interesting anecdotes that they shared together. The actress who is known to be extremely guarded on social media and otherwise surprised us by sharing a meme sent to her by Anisha which gives us an insight into their bond.

On work front, Deepika has not yet announced any project after Padmaavat except for Vishal Bharadwaj’s gangster biopic based on life and times of Sapna Didi, the Mumbai mafia queen. The movie is postponed because her co-star Irrfan Khan fell ill suddenly. We hear she is waiting for content oriented film which will give her a scope to show her mettle as an actress.
